The Hielan Coo Ceilidh Band is a lively duo playing toe-tapping ceilidh music on accordion & piano with backing music to give a BIG sound from a duo. They will also call the dances if you are a bit unsure, or alternatively they will demonstrate the dances and let you follow what they do.
All types of ceilidh dance are covered - from well-known ones like Strip the Willow & the Gay Gordons to lesser-known ones such as the Social Swing and the John O'Groats Reel. All guaranteed to have good fun.
They will also be providing a pop duo along with the ceilidh music to appeal to all and cover a wide range of styles from 50s, 60s & 70s to present day, along with country, folk and rock'n'roll - something for everyone.
